Angela M. Haigler is a journalist, freelance writer and creative writing instructor. 

Angela started out as a television reporter in her hometown of Florence, South Carolina then moved to Ames, Iowa to complete an M.S. degree in Journalism and Mass Communication while working as an Assistant News Producer for the Des Moines ABC affiliate.

Later she obtained her Master of Fine Arts in Creative Writing from Queens University of Charlotte and has been teaching Creative Writing for the past 17 years.

Her online courses help diverse writers build community while completing their books or writing projects. She is a 2020 recipient of an Arts and Science Council (ASC) Inaugural Emerging Creator Fellowship and a Cultural Vision grant.

Her work can be found in publications such as CourierNewsroom.com, Beautiful Truths literary magazine, Library Journal, The Charlotte Observer, Change Seven literary magazine and Charlotte’s African American magazine, Pride where she is the Book Reviewer. Her essays are featured in “The Image in the Mirror” by Victorious You Press and “Unspoken” by L10 Press.
